Designed in Los Angeles and printed in Colorado by a woman-owned studio, CarbonShack's Leptomedusae Dinnerware series references the exuberant artwork and scientific investigations of 19th-century zoologist & naturalist Ernst Haeckel. Leptomedusae, a microscopic sea organism related to jellyfish, are found in plankton, and form part of the microscopic ecosystem of water-borne creatures that support and sustain life in our natural world.
